Chris Amyot
Growing up in North Bay (3.5 hours north of Toronto), the outdoor & cottage life experience has been with me since birth.
After working in downtown Toronto as a junior advertising media sales representative for a year, in 1990 I moved to London to complete a business degree at Western University and I founded my advertising sales marketing company (CampusAd). I successfully operated CampusAd for 28 years before relocating to the Bruce Peninsula to enter the Real Estate sales market full-time.
Over the 28 years operating CampusAd, I had negotiated with, and represented 9 universities in Ontario, and 5 out-of-province universities to developed and managed their official media interests. In turn, I have generated millions of advertising revenue annually from both local and national companies supporting official university media.
Along the way of my 28+ years of working in advertising, I built a solid foundation in real estate development, rental and sales. I personally managed the top-to-bottom transformations of my families’ three century homes and further developed of a new in-fill home in an established area in London, Ontario.
22+ years ago, I started my Bruce Peninsula cottage ownership experience. In 2002 I purchased and cleared a lot, designed a custom cottage home including all aspects both working as a general contractor and working along side professional contractors) to complete the projects. I also successfully bought, renovated, rented (seasonally), and sold other cottages on the Bruce Peninsula. I re-zoned/developed waterfront lots. My personal real estate endeavors have been a rewarding accomplishment, and of course profitable!
Whether it has been pouring a foundation for a new cottage, renovating a kitchen at a rental cottage in the middle of the winter, installing a shore-well, or sourcing out 100-old reclaimed brick for a century home seamless addition, I find the process challenging, rewarding and therapeutic.
Of course, I have also taken much time to enjoy and explore the best that the Bruce Peninsula has to offer in outdoor and family fun. My family loves cottage life and outdoor adventure! We have experienced most of it … hiking, biking, exploring, caving, kayaking/canoeing, boating, water-skiing, sailing, snowshoeing, x-country skiing, tobogganing, snowmobiling, and so much more from Wiartion to Tobermory!
On the operational side of cottage life, I have experienced draining the waterlines, changing pumps, frozen pipes, installing/taking-out docks, getting the firewood, weekend commutes to the Bruce, and so much more.
Summer – Winter – Spring – Fall: Grey & Bruce counties offer so much to do, and I have enjoyed the best of it. Direct cottage life experience is yet another difference that I offer.
My 36+ years of inter-personal negotiation experience, 25+ years of real estate development, and 23+ years on the Bruce have provide the perfect foundation for my successful professional Realtor®. As a professional licensed Realtor®, I combined my love of the Bruce Peninsula cottage life with unparalleled negotiation and vacation property experience.
